June, 2003

Hey All, how lucky we have been to have such beautiful spring weather. Especially May 18th for our poker run. Again the poker run was very successful. Read on in the newsletter about the poker run.
In the last newsletter I mentioned the price to send out our newsletter. The consensus is to keep mailing out the newsletter to all members. We also mentioned that those that could receive and would like the newsletter emailed to them let Donna or Pam know. The newsletter can be pickup also at the Wednesday dinner rides usually the week before the monthly meeting. We try to hand out as many as we can to keep cost down.
The 901 building parking lot has become quite full, so starting June 4 we will meet at the
Dillon's at Lincoln and Hydraulic. This location is still close to 135. I should be there no later than 5:00 PM so look for my 4 wheeler (white ford t-bird).
May 30 thru June 1 is our State Rally in Lawrence Ks. I am sure we will have a great time. I will make sure there is an article about the rally in next months newsletter.
July 12 thru July 18 is the National Rally in Indianapolis, IN. Kelly and I will be leaving at 6:30 am Sat July 12. Anyone wanting to go at that time let us know.
Our Monthly meeting June 21 will be at Haven, Ks park. We will meet at Dillon's at Maize and 21st with kick stands up 10:00 am to ride to Haven park. Please bring a sack lunch, pop and chips furnished. We will take a ride after the meeting so bring some ideas where to ride.
July monthly meeting will be July 26, which is later than usual because of the National Rally. We will meet at the Sedgwick County Park in the Plum shelter for our monthly meeting cookout. This shelter will be more comfortable for us along with restrooms being close. The cookout will be hamburgers and chicken so bring a dish that will go along with them. We will have fans going so it will be cooler also. I hope to see more there this year. Pop and Chips will also be available. Anyone wanting to help cook at the cookout Please let Donna know.
Kechi Ks 18th Annual Parade on Sat June 28. They have invited us to be in their parade this year. Barbara Mort chairman would like to know the count of bikes that would be in the parade by June 20. I will have a signup sheet at all the Wed dinners and at the June meeting. Parades are a lot of fun and the people really enjoy seeing all the beautiful motorcycles.
Congratulation to Roger and Glory Scholl's on the wedding. They had quite a send off all the bikes following them out of town.

Ride Safe,
Donna and Kelly Felix
